Just trying to help =) –
I bought this for my son who is 9 to begin learning guitar. My son has had previous acoustic guitars but not previously really interested in learning with them as he always wanted to learn on electric.
The short,
He loves the guitar and is now very excited to practice.
The guitar shipped fast, and everything listed was including and in new perfect working order.
The long,
I have been playing guitar for 20+ years and had low expectations for this guitar at this price. My main concern was having bought numerous other starter guitars for my other kids, I have noticed that there are some definite possibilities of issues in the lower end price.
Some of the issues I have seen on other guitars were:
The tuning Pegs often don’t hold, or do not adjust smooth enough that it is very difficult to keep it in tune.
The frets often are not precisely set and you get vibration or buzz at some frets.
The fret board placement is not exact and the harmonics are off and even when the guitar is tuned as you go up the frets you will see that the 10th fret on the the E string for instance is not an open D string because the spacing is wrong.
These are really a upsetting thing to have as it makes people practicing more reluctant to keep going as notes never sound quite right.
As soon as I go the guitar in, I tested those three previous issues, and to my happiness this build did not suffer from any of them.
It tuned easy, I played hard for about 10 minutes and re-tuned (to get the new strings set) and this kept tune great.
I played through all the frets on all the strings an had no buzzing.
The harmonics worked, and the fret placement is right and keeps the notes in key as you move up.
The guitar is full size (not a min or 3/4) and though typically you might think that may be too big for a 8-10 year old, because its electric and the neck is much thinner then an acoustic, it is quite manageable by a kid at that age, and you don’t have to replace it as they get bigger.
Now about the electric part, this worked perfect. The Amp is small, but it is plenty big enough to practice with and honesty the settings were surprisingly good sounding for such an inexpensive amp. Don’t get me wrong, don’t expect marshal quality, but it seriously does work well and sound very nice.
Everything was well packed and shipped quickly, all in all I thing this is an excellent guitar that plays great and looks very nice. Definitely recommend.

I recently purchased this guitar 🎸 and really enjoyed while playing it. The key notes I like about this guitar.
Price point: it’s cheap but amazing at this price tag.
Quality Build: The guitar itself is of excellent quality with a full-size design that feels comfortable to play. The finish is smooth, and the materials used seem durable.
Easy to Tune: The digital tuner included in the package is user-friendly and helped me quickly get the guitar in tune, even as a beginner.
Overall, the LyxPro Electric Guitar Starter kit exceeded my expectations. It’s a fantastic option for beginners who want a quality instrument with all the necessary accessories. I’m looking forward to honing my skills with this kit.

I’m not a professional guitars so Im not sure how accurate my opinions are but I’d say it works well for a beginner or intermediate player! The color is a little like plastic looking but otherwise it’s cute. The amp also isn’t too bad, and the settings change things. One thing I will say though is that there is sometimes staticky buzzing in the background when the volume is high, I don’t know if that’s because I suck at adjusting it correctly or if it’s because the amp is cheap, good for the price I will say though. Comes with picks and a tuner, and extra strings if they break. The case also feels a little fragile, it’s not the sturdiest thing, but I don’t carry it around so I can’t speak too much on its durability. Overall is a good product for the price 👍

This is a great beginner’s guitar. For the price, you get what you get. However, you can easily upgrade later! Simply put, this is a guitar with the understanding that it is for beginners.
The Amp – The amp is a friendly practice amp. You turn it on, and sounds come out. You can toggle with the bass, treble, and drive. For a beginner guitarist, that is fine! Of course, I plugged the guitar into a much professional amp, and the guitar sounded great!
The Cable – Plugs, no crackling or pops while playing. What is there to complain about?
The Neckstrap – The neck strap holds the guitar and prevents the guitar from falling when you are playing. The strap quality is, of course, cheap, but it 100% does what it is made to do. Though I would recommend getting some soft safety locks.
The Tuner – The turner comes in three settings. It stays true to guitar tuning, and I’ve never had a problem with it. Just make sure that you hold down the button to turn it off; otherwise, you will change it to a new setting, and then next time you tune your guitar, you will get confused! (For beginners). If you do, click the button until you get to the standard tuning mode.
The Whammy Bar – Cheap whammy bar but does what any quality whammy bar would do!
The Guitar – The guitar is VERY lightweight. Out of the box, it needs to be tuned. I played it as is, and it sounded great for what it was. I did adjust the pickups, but the neck well pretty well adjusted. The feel of the guitar does feel the lower quality from a more expensive guitar (but in my opinion, it’s what the guitar sounds like that is important). The frets, neck, and bridge were fine as they were, and I enjoyed playing this beginner’s guitar!
VERDICT – I got this guitar as a beat-up and travel guitar. I also got it to practice my modding skills (I rather practice on a cheap guitar rather than an expensive one!).
For a beginner, this is an excellent guitar! When playing it, I played it for long periods and did not want to put it down! I’ve been playing for quite a while, so knowing this, this is a good guitar to start your musical journey! Save your money to get your dream guitar sooner!!
For an experienced guitarist, this is an excellent beat-up guitar or to practice any modding. It’s a fun guitar to play as long as you know exactly what you are getting. If you have high standards, then, of course, this is not going to be for you. But even for a low-quality guitar, it’s still much fun to play and fool around with.
KEEP THIS IN MIND – Sometimes, these cheap guitars do have flaws. I got a great model of this guitar, but I have experience getting these affordable models and have found flaws. I would then ask for a new one (same model) and then find the next would be flawless. That’s why it’s more practical to go into a store and see the exact one you are getting. In any case, don’t get discouraged and ask for a new one.

I’ve been using this guitar for about 8 months now! Super great for beginners, and comes with everything you need. I love the color, sounds good, it’s kinda heavy but I mean it’s about as heavy as any other guitar.

First impression here. I have only just received this guitar, so time will tell but so far I am pleasantly surprised! If your expecting a pro gig bag, and premium strings for the price they charge for this package, you are unreasonable..i mean come’ on! you are getting a decent looking and sounding guitar, nice little practice amp and some other handy accessories for $ 200, i think its a good deal. My guitar came on time, packaged well, and in excellent condition. I read some reviews about rough frets, but mine were perfect. The paint job was also beautiful, not a blemish on it. As some others have said the strings are not great for anyone who has some experience playing, but that was an easy 10 dollar upgrade to a better set of D’addarios. The action was good also, easy to play and no buzzing frets. The little amp is great so far. For anyone just starting out I would recommend this package. You can always upgrade the extras, like the gig bag, but i think its just fine especially for the cost of then entire kit.

I read reviews, some positive, some negative, I am very happy with my purchase. The accessories are cheap and crappy no doubt… but, the guitar is pretty good quality. The digital tuner works great, amp is fine to get started, as are the cables etc. Strap is awful, case blows and the strings suck, but come on!! It’s a $200.00 guitar kit! Get over it! $200? I spend more on beer and wings on a Tuesday. I ordered the guitar kit and some Ernie Ball strings as well as the Amazon Basics guitar strap. It holds a tune well, and if I stick with it, I can get better components as I go.
If you’re looking for a high end guitar, this isn’t it, but if you’re looking to get started and see if electric guitar is for you? Can’t really go wrong. I signed up for Justin Guitar online lessons and there’s no looking back.
Merry Christmas!
