Looking for a replacement for a fairly thin midsize Swiss Army watch that served long and well, I came across this one. It’s handsome, easy to read (well, not the tiny date window – a very minor issue for me) and so far it’s been spectacularly accurate. Highly recommend despite the fact the band it comes with is of mediocre quality and very uncomfortable (noted by other reviewers). I actually ordered one of those overpriced but handsome and durable Barton replacement bands at the same time I ordered the watch, so for $62 plus tax I wound up with (no pun intended) a first-rate “everyday” watch.

After wearing and using this Timex watch, I am mostly happy and satisfied with my purchase. Allow me to explain; it does everything advertised and more. The watch is elegant, and keeps time. Easy to use. My dislikes: the case is very small, almost as it were made for a child. The leather band is hard and not very pliable. I have medium to small hands, but the watch does not buckle on the center of my wrist so it is always sitting to the side; again as it were designed for a child and not an adult. Again, nothing wrong with the watch, it’s just a design flaw if the intended use is an adult. In my excitement I threw the packaging away before wearing it, otherwise I would return it. Check the specifications before purchase, nice watch.

This watch is much more impressive in person. The leather of the bracelet looks sturdy and authentic. The 39mm case would not look good on someone with wide wrists or huge arms, but it fits perfectly on me (Average wrist size). The most impressive thing about the Brown/Olive version is the contrast between the colors on the dial; it is almost a perfect match, it makes reading time effortless, and you will love it. Pushing on the crown activates some bright backlight. In addition to the latter, the watch has incredible luminescence etched on the hands. Adjusting the time feels very satisfying as the hands move smoothly. The only downside of this watch is that the bezel does not look very polished, and it shows when you take a closer look or in some photos. Also, the watch box was of low quality. I would not mind paying more to have a version with fixes related to the aforesaid downsides.

I wanted an inexpensive everyday watch that keeps time, is comfortable and has a different look. This Timex is perfect. After 2 weeks the accuracy has been spot on, the leather strap is comfortable and easy to use (after a little break in). Stylish and well made for a $40 watch. Some reviews said the watch was noisy with a loud ticking sound – mine is virtually silent with a very faint ticking audible ONLY when holding up close to your ear. The form factor is a bit smaller than others but is a good fit for me.
Hard to do better for what this watch cost. Excellent purchase.

Excelente reloj, buen diseño, buena funcionalidad y un precio muy atractivo. En las imágenes pareciera de un color bronce algo extraño pero es en realidad color acero con su acabado cepillado. La correa de cuero que incluye es de buena calidad con varios detalles interesantes, pero en mi opinión hace ver al reloj como un artículo más antiguo, le da un carácter más serio, por eso adjunto algunas fotos con correa NATO (no incluida) para que observes lo bien que se ve utilizando otras opciones. La esfera no es totalmente blanca, si no que tiene un tono crema muy sutil que le da un toque vintage. Los números y marcadores perfectamente impresos le dan un look más moderno que otros relojes de la serie Expedition, recordando a otro Hamilton Khaki, en este caso el Titanium Auto. También hace considerablemente menos ruido que mi Expedition Scout. Muy recomendado, aunque a veces sube mucho de precio, lo mejor es esperarlo en una oferta, porque a pesar de su excelente diseño sigue siendo un reloj de cuarzo con caja de latón.
