Went thru 2 of these watches before asking for a refund..numbers fell off the face of the first one, the second, the hour hand wasn’t attached to any gear and would spin if shaken

I had high hopes for this watch, but alas they didn’t eventuate. The watch is very small, but worst of all, the crystal is not flat on the watch. By that I mean the crystal is not seated correctly. There is a about 1 mm in height on one side, and nearly 3 mm on the other! I can’t use this watch, it is too annoying. I might try this brand again. Then again i might not.

This is an excellent pocket watch. It’s slightly smaller than I expected, but all the better. Expect to have it as somewhat of an inaccurate watch due to the mechanical movement though. I have to change it every few days or so but I think it builds discipline. They do require more care than a normal watch so make sure to find a good article about how to care for them. Everything about the watch is well built. When I got the package I could tell it was a quality watch just from the box, which is different from the picture; from what I received anyway. Both the watch and chain have a good weight to them. One note: if you’re very picky about the roman numeral four on watches, notice that this one does have four I’s rather than an IV.
I’ll be glad to pass this pocket watch down in my family as a worthy heirloom.

I love this Open Face Pocket Watch. I’ve had mine for a year and accidentally broke the face/crystal/plastic while skateboarding. (Never skating with it again). Its shiny, comes with a great pouch and case for display when not being used. When I sent it for repair, it was a very cheap repair. The tension lasts a little bit more that 24 hours if you twist it to the recommended amount so if you forget to wind it at the same time everyday there is a little bit of leeway for forgiveness. The chain however is not the best quality chain. I would recommend buying another chain because the one I have had broke twice each time after getting snagged on like a drawer handle or caught in a chair. Its possible I’m moving too quickly for this chain to remain in tact but my understanding was it is a stainless steel chain. The chain does not feel like stainless steel when it brakes. I’ve since ditched the chain and am currently looking for a new one. The watch is still in my pocket and shines great!

I’ve ordered a mechanical pocket watch before. It broke down after a week.. The other pocket watch I ordered has a face with exposed clockwork that makes it VERY difficult to read the hands. It’s hard to see at a glance which is the short, which the long hand. Both are hard to view against the busy clockwork background. It sits in a drawer, unused.
Not so this watch. It has an exposed clockwork face, but it is laid out well, so the hands can be easily distinguished.
I waited until I’ve had the watch for about a year, I think, and I wind it up twice a day (if I’m carrying it through a long day), and so far, no problems with the clock mechanism. It keeps time fairly accurately (losing a minute or two over several days.
It is a nice size and comfortable weight.

Nice looking watch, runs fine, +/- 20 seconds. Biggest complaint is the plastic front window, it is a little loose and can rotate.

This product was purchased for my father, who celebrated his 83rd birthday. He has my grandfather’s Elgin, but it just resides in a display. Since he is not warm about products from China or France, I have to check gift items closely. With no markings on the watch or packaging, I felt I was in the clear. Once he had open the gift and wound the watch, I was relieved. The movement was so smooth you would think it was Swiss. Althought the watch is labelled PARIS, I am not sure where it is made. The bottom line is that, I think the watch is unique and would suggest it to anyone looking for a high quality mechanical pocket watch, at a reasonable price.

The watch is very nicely made. It came in a great box with a decent chain that clips on to anything (you can slide the clamp on top of pants waist, belt, or even a pocket to hang in your cargo shorts) and it also included a microfiber bag to keep it in while she sleeps lol! The only downside is the back gear doesn’t have the engraving like the picture which I really liked. It is kind of a brushed finish instead. It still looks great but I was kinda disappointed. Maybe the higher end models have it or it was merely a cleverly placed waterwark for the photo lol! Whatever the case… It hardly matters because it is quite beautiful! It screams quality and keeps great time so far. If you want a throwback to a more simple time, with a dash of modern style at a decent price… Then this is the pocket watch for you!
