I needed new chargers for my Surface Pro. I knew I could not get it locally. I ordered online while I was away from home and it came the 2nd day I was home. Without the charger my computer is useless. There is no other way to recharge it except with the special charger.

New puppy chewed original! I was so mad! This cord is exactly the same as original and charges the surface pro great! The length is greats d it doesn’t get hot or overheated like some. Does what it is supposed to do!

When researching products, I start with the 1 & 2 star reviews, look for consistency in their complaints, look at the ratio of bad to good reviews and go from there. So if you’re like me, you’ve come to this review looking for some perspective on the bad ones.
I bought this to have a second charger for our new (bought in April 2024) i7 Surface Pro 9. It appears and feels to be identical to the one shipped with our Surface Pro that Microsoft wants $90 for. It works identically as well as the OEM also. It does not appear to be UL listed or rated, but neither does the OEM unit.
It does not appear to have any of the issues brought up in the poor reviews. Maybe the bad reviews got a damaged, returned or rejected product. Contrary to the bad reviews, it charges quickly, seems well built, does not get at all warm when charging or when plugged in to keep the charge topped off.
For $20 after discounts, I decided to give this one a shot. Received ours less than 12 hours after ordering with standard Prime shipping. The only thing I can’t yet confirm is how long it lasts. Only time will tell, but at this price point, I think you can buy this one with confidence.

Very happy to receive this purchase quickly and be able to get back to work. It’s frustrating when the poor design by Microsoft leads an essential computer made useless when the cord stops working. The previous brick is still good in that it can be used to charge up other items with the USB port. Unfortunately, the cord going to the computer stopped working. If only they had made it so that just the cord part could be replaced, or at least have a cord that is less prone to problems! Thankfully this replacement was affordable unlike the ones available from MS at 3-4 times the cost.
