I’m no tech expert. I purchased the eero router extender but it didn’t reach the upstairs apartment as well as I needed it to… so I purchased a second. The price was right. Easy to install and it works great. My renter in the upstairs apartment noted great connectivity as soon as I added the second eero. I have a 4000 sq ft home and 2 extenders provide excellent coverage.

Our internet provider recently changed to the Eero router/modem. We’d had an extender on the old wifi equipment they replaced which I had purchased because signal strength was weak in some areas of the house. We lost calls even on wifi. Even after upgrading the router/modem to Eero the signal wasn’t very strong out on our lanai and our cellphone service towers are not as well placed as they once were. The provider gave us an option to lease an extender from them but we decided to purchase one because the price was far less than renting it would have been. It was the easiest thing to install using the Eero app. And we haven’t lost a call since. We are getting better speeds and streaming on multiple devices at rhe same time is not a problem. I am very pleased with this mesh system and this extender works like a charm.

When I got my EERO router when I switched internet plan, the signal was not very good. It was slow and I had problems staying connected. This is because when I first had internet (and cable) installed in my house (a long time ago), they decided to install the connections on one side of the house. I tend to be on the other side of the house most of the time.
I couldn’t take it anymore and so broke down and spent the $80 for this extender. It was easy to setup and my connection is really good now. It definitely works!

Would definitely recommend if you’re not getting a full WiFi signal when far away from main device. I have the main device at front of my house and this little guy at the back. Once you find the “+” icon top right in your eero app – this wifi extender does everything except plug itself in. Adds plenty of long range- just locate it in the middle of the distance from your original router (they look identical) and the furthest distance-area you want to cover. The eero pairing is automatic and network setup will optimize router / extender use for all existing, new and future or guest devices. NOTE: The instructions with the extender will NOT tell you to find the “+” (add device) icon so just know that it’s at the top/right in the eero app home screen. Everything else is super easy. Great quality, decent price, very well packaged and delivered on time.
