I ordered this because I really like the Bulova company and the quality that goes into their timepieces. I prefer the automatic self-winding watches that rely on mechanical gears, with jewels to reduce friction, and no batteries to run down and change. So far this has been very accurate for me, keeping the right time within about 10 to 15 seconds per day.
This particular watch is stainless steel and black with a quality leather watchband and a classic look. It radiates quality without appearing ostentatious. It is just what I need when I’m at work. I still like to have a watch on my wrist so I’m not pulling my phone out of my pocket whenever I need to check the time.
The watch gears and movement can be viewed from the transparent backing, and there is a small round understated window on the face of the watch as well. I specifically purchased this style of Bulova watch because I wanted the classic Bulova tuning fork logo at the 12:00 position, which is not present universally on all Bulova watches.
This watch makes a great gift for any executive types in the family or circle of friends, especially those persons that are hard to shop for. I also recommend obtaining a mechanical rotating watch winder for automatic watches, many kinds are available here on Amazon. This keeps the watch from running down if you don’t use it for a few days.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase, it is a good value for an elegant watch. Highly recommended.

I purchased this watch for my husband’s birthday. I could tell by the smile on his face that he loved it before he even put it on. The packaging was nice and the watch is stunning. I think he loves showing it off because he chooses shirts that won’t conceal it when he’s wearing it. This was his first wind up watch and took him a while to get used to. Definitely the best watch in his collection for a great price.

Design:
This thing is beautiful, like, drop dead gorgeous. The smoke-gray dial and gold indexes are an unusual color choice that you don’t see on many watches, but it works surprisingly well. This is also one of the few watches to do open-heart correctly, by centering it at 6 and keeping the rest of the dial simple so as not to distract from the heart itself!
Construction:
The movement is obviously good quality being Bulova, and the case is well constructed. I would have really liked to see a sapphire crystal, but $300 seems to be about the break point where some watches decide to upgrade to sapphire and some don’t, so it’s understandable. At $500+ yeah I would absolutely demand sapphire and nothing less, but a $300 watch can go either way.
Strap:
It’s wearable, but obviously in this price range, the strap is the first item on the cost cutting list, so don’t expect ultra luxury. Thankfully though straps are easy to replace, so just buy one of you own if you really want.

Handsome quality timepiece. Perfect size for the average risk. Highly rated automatic movement, beautiful classic face. The stainless case is nice too. 21 jewels which rivals watches which are in a much higher price point. Leather band is comfortable and the leather is impressive. Nice clasp as well. Really would have liked to see sapphire crystal over mineral crystal on this piece, but easily overlooked it based on the looks and craftsmanship of this classic brand. Great addition to any collection and can be worn everyday. Keeps great time.

This is my favorite watch that I own, hands down. It is extremely slim considering that it’s an automatic. It holds power and time very well. The pictures on here don’t do it justice, the face details, domed crystal, and hands are simple but stunning. If you’re thinking about buying this, just go for it. You’ll be so happy you did when you see it shine in the sunlight.
