Bulova’s Aerojet Automatic Watch came nicely boxed and arrived undamaged. The box is substantial enough to make for a nice gift presentation.
The watch is made from high quality stainless steel. The case and band are both nicely finished with good attention to detail. The band moves fluidly and the butterfly clasp is easy to secure. The see-through case back reveals the attractive automatically winding mechanicals. The one finish issue I noticed is that the hour marker at 9 is not perfectly straight.
The reason I bought this watch is for the brown dial. I was searching for a nicely spec’d brown faced watch. The face on this watch is lovely. The brown shade is a beautiful chestnut color. It’s deep and rich. The applied chrome markers have an attractive bevel. The 24 hour subdial is a useful and unusual addition. The watch is elegant, timeless, and looks retro enough to be intriguing, but not outdated.
I am a smaller guy, at 5’6″ and 135 pounds, and I wear my watches fitted above my wrist. I had to remove all of the removable links from the band to get the right size. It wasn’t hard to do with the right tools. Once properly sized the watch fits my wrist well and is comfortable to wear all day. While the case diameter is a bit large it doesn’t overwhelm my wrist.
The watch has a smooth second hand and keeps time well. It is quiet and you can only hear the rotor occasionally. The watch stays wound on my automatic winder when I am not wearing it.
All in all… a lovely watch.

This watch has 5 star looks and runs great. It dresses up nicely at the nd I love wearing it at all kinds of occasions.
It is a an auto watch with limited storage, hence the 4 stars. I have been able to use it as an everyday watch if I jiggle it in the morning for a minute and do that again before I go to bed. If you do not wear this watch every day it may be a bother.

Gorgeous watch and band, and super smooth Japanese movement. I have an 8.25″ wrist and this fits way too loose, have a watch pin tool on the way. So expect to pay to have it sized or get the tools. Update: power reserve is very limited, 10 hours maybe, and tiny crown is difficult to operate and makes manual winding nearly impossible.
6 month update: of my 10 automatic watch collection this one has the lowest reserve time, way less than advertised. Even wearing it all day while active it will be dead within 10-12 hours after putting it away.
