new yet old fashion. I like to be unique just like the watch. Thats why i bought it. Well built, great design, feels heavy, and the watch and the chain is high quality. The time is right on, don’t have to adjust. Have to wind every other day other than that, love it.

I have not had the watch long enough to know how it will last, but it looks great. It’s a little smaller than I was expecting, but that is okay. Where I messed up was that I did not look close enough at the picture and I didn’t realize that the stem is not located at the 12 o’clock position, rather the stem is at the 3 o’clock position. So what’s the big deal – it’s not conducive to be used with the left hand which was my intention. I ride motorcycles, so being able to pull the watch out and check the time with the left hand is rather important since the right hand is used for the throttle. Additionally, I have used pocket watches for almost 40 years, using old antiques as well as cheap Walmart specials and everyone one had the stem positioned at the 12 o’clock position. My mistake for not noticing this difference.
On May 8, 2023, I updated my rating to 5 stars from the previous 3 star rating. I’m glad to report the watch is still functioning perfectly. I carry it with me most days. Oh yes, I’ve retired from riding motorcycles, so I can now appreciate the location of the watch stem.

Overall, it works as a prop for historic interpretation – where no one looks too closely. It’s just a conversation starter. Superficially, the watch is almost appropriate for late 18th to early 19th century (Watches back then generally used verge fusee movements, which were chubby, needed a fatter case. This watch is too skinny to be considered a replica).
Operationally it appears workable. Sets well and keeps time fine. The lid opens and closed firmly, feels reliable.
However, case finishing is a little rough for the price point. There are burrs and sharp edges along the outer edge of the case lid. The lid doesn’t open as far as I expected, not even 90 degrees, so readability is compromised. But readability is already worse than I expected due to screen clutter from the exposed movement – my fault; I should have known. The ring around the crown is fitted very roughly, there is obviously poorly fitted metal-to-metal.
This is an okay watch, priced high enough, IMHO, that it shouldn’t have irritating flaws in fit/finish.

Nice looking watch but stopped working 2 months after I got it. Won’t wind and difficult to find a way to make a warranty claim.

Got this as a birthday present for my boyfriend a few months ago, who had been wanting a pocket watch for some time. Couldn’t have been more satisfied with this one. It’s gorgeous and has no trouble keeping time. Literally everything I hoped it would be in terms of appearance and functionality. My boyfriend loves it and uses it everyday. Definitely a worthwhile investment for the price!
