One of the rooms in our house is significantly far from the two in-wall A.C. units, leading to uncomfortably warm temperatures in that room. In an attempt to mitigate the issue, especially considering we were to have long-term guests staying, we purchased the Nomad fan. This fan met all of our expectations and did its job, just as advertised. It has FOUR levels of performance, ranging from a very mild breeze to a fairly strong air blow, each of which has a use depending on how warm the room or people in it are. The air blown is not like that of a typical fan, but is actually cool and dry. The unit itself is light and portable, easy to clean, and can be placed just about anywhere thanks to its shape and design.
Unfortunately, the fan we purchased stopped working after nearly a year – although the unit was turned on and all functions appeared to work, it failed to further blow air. We began debugging it by following the troubleshooting instructions – unfortunately, this did not help us. Next, we reached out to Dreo Customer Care to receive support. Carol (the customer care representative) is, by far, one of (if not THE) best representatives I have had the pleasure of resolving a product issue with. I decided to reach out via Amazon (which continued via e-mail) and received responses in a very timely manner (<24 hours). Once I described the issue in detail, Carol was equally quick with providing a solution and sent us a replacement unit at no charge, not only staying true to the warranty but also making this process as quick and painless as possible. Thank you, Carol & Dreo!
Additional comments related to my rating levels:
– Sleep Mode: N/A: I have not used this feature nor do I care for it. Perhaps one day…
– Noise level: The fan is EXTREMELY quiet. Coupled with its reasonable cooling capabilities, it is simply perfect for use at night (contrary to our in-wall A.C. units that hum like turbine engines).
– Remote control: Works without any issues, the buttons are self explanatory, the fan responds from a long distance (I used it up to 20ft), and it is nice to the touch.

The fan is great, it works well and is very quiet. We still use it for the white noise at night but it’s a steady light noise. My only complaint is how short the cord is, you have to be within a few feet of the outlet. It was super easy to set up right out of the box, and appears easy to clean like they show which is nice. We had a traditional standing oscillating fan but it was bulky and in the way, so this is nice as it’s more slender and compact. Would def recommend.

I like this. I live in a small home with A/C and ceiling fans so this fits my needs. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, it is pretty quiet, it moves enough air around that I am more comfortable leaving my A/C on a higher setting, it looks nice, and seems to have good functionality.
Could it be a bit stronger? Yeah, I would love at least one higher fan speed. This fan doesn’t even get air into my kitchen that is open to the living room (total house is <700 sq ft) but it does makes a difference in the one room that could use a serious ceiling fan upgrade. To be HONEST, if you do not have A/C and/or ceiling fans, if you are really depending on a floor fan to keep you cool, then you will be better off with one of those noisy, turbo box fans. You probably won't be happy with this. If you are enhancing existing air temp mgmt then it may be just the bit of extra you need.
I also love that they gave consideration to cleaning. I have windows open 3 out of 4 seasons and I can’t count the hours I have spent with a toothbrush trying to clean box fans that look horrible. That counts for a lot.
Update:
Still very pleased with this fan. It is really saving me AC $s in conjunction with my ceiling fan. And it is almost completely quiet until you get to speed 4 (and not what I would call noisy even then).
Also, 90 deg oscillation is a lot in a small room so I tend to leave it off. Get more constant breeze that way. The natural setting option is kind of neat, also, but it’s been so hot this summer I have wanted it full on always.
As regards a couple comments I read about the remote:
1. Yes there is a storage slot for the remote in back of the unit.
2. The remote and/or the unit sort of go to sleep so don’t be surprised that you have to click a couple times to change fan speed, set timer, etc. It does make it feel a bit clunky but probably saves energy/battery.
