- 🎻 OUTSTANDING SOUND: The beginner cello bridge and body fit perfectly can bring better resonance and richer and bright sound. The cello bow is made from a superior white horse tail for better elasticity and faster sound transmission.
- 🎻CAREFULLY SELECTED MATERIALS: The premium basswood is used on the front of our 4/4 cello. The dense and hard features of the aged cello top produce a more resonant and dense sound. The scroll of the cello is made of solid maple to make it strong.
- 🎻ELEGANT DESIGN: The 4/4 cello has a fantastic hand-feeling owing to its semi-painted body making the lacquer of the cello smooth and not rough. The color gradient of the scroll is natural and the lines are connected smoothly. It is a work of art.
- 🎻GOOD QUALITY CELLO BAG: Our cello bag is tailored according to the shape of the cello and has a 5mm cotton thickness, which can better protect your precious cello. Made of superior Oxford cloth, this bag can still maintain its original appearance after long-term use.
- 🎻SUITABLE FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS: Different ordinary cello strings, our cello string uses excellent steel string, which can better relieve finger fatigue. In addition, this cello set includes all the necessary accessories for learning how to play. (NOTE: the back of the cello neck is unpainted. Most cellos are designed that way)

The worst thing I can say about the cello is the small circular rosin included is challenging for a beginner to use well. Which is to say, it sounds good (for a beginner), it holds up and everything functions fine. The tuning is a little tough to keep consistent (the large black knobs in the head) but I have seen the same with expensive cellos too. The bottom fine tuners near the bridge work fine. I got the yellowish color, which isn’t as pleasing to look at. The tone — if we are being picky — doesn’t exactly sing, but an experienced player can certainly coax out a decent performance from this capable instrument. The box arrived with a hole but the actual instrument itself was well preserved and unharmed.

I’m a beginning cello player and find this instrument to be great for starters. The craftsmanship I is pretty good considering the price, I liked it so much, I just ordered my mom a violin from the same seller! t seems that the strings are off center when the bridge is placed squarely between the notches on the f holes.
One thing I recommend: DO NOT OUT THE BRIDGE IN YOURSELF. TAKE IT TO A LUTHIER! The reason for this is because when you loosen all the the strings you’re likely going to knock the sound post out of whack and that will need to be professionally prepared. That’s what happened to me. You’re better off taking it in first and having them set it up.
Also a note: you can message the company for instructions on how to put the bridge in (again, I don’t recommend this) and care for your cello. Many of the negative points others have made in their reviews are issues specifically addressed in those directions.

I purchased the Ktaxon Full-Size Beginner Cello 4/4 Acoustic Cello Set with Portable Bag, Bow, and Rosin on January 1, 2024, with high hopes of starting my cello journey. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of disappointing.
The most glaring issue with this cello is its inability to hold tuning. No matter how carefully I tune it or how many adjustments I make, it loses its tuning within minutes of playing. This constant need for retuning makes practicing an exercise in frustration rather than an enjoyable experience.
To alleviate the problem, I even purchased additional tuning accessories, but to no avail. The cello continues to exhibit the same persistent tuning issues, rendering it practically unusable for any serious practice or performance.
Furthermore, the overall quality of the instrument leaves much to be desired. The construction feels flimsy, and the sound produced is lackluster at best. It’s clear that corners were cut in the manufacturing process, resulting in a subpar instrument that fails to meet even the most basic expectations.
Overall, I cannot recommend the Ktaxon Full-Size Beginner Cello to anyone looking to start their cello journey. The constant tuning issues and poor quality make it a frustrating and ultimately disappointing investment. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a reliable instrument.

He’s a beginner and I feel this is a great purchase.
It does need to be tuned every few days, but his teacher says that is normal with a new instrument.
The box did arrived damaged, but the cello was not. So great packaging.

Craftsmanship is a little here and there, but over all I didn’t end up needing to replace anything and it sounds great, a little hard to tune as someone who does it frequently, lots of little adjustments to the bridge, but otherwise great!

We bought this cello as a starter for us son who already is an expert on violin but wants to learn the cello. When the cello arrived, my son could not tune it because the bridge had not be adjusted to the cello and the strings would not tighten properly. We took it his high school chamber professor who said the bridge needed to be sanded down to properly fit on the cello. We took it to a well-known music store in the area that sells and services classical instruments and they had to put a different bridge on the cello and adjust it to work properly. The next problem was that included nylon tailgut – tailcord kept on snapping off when the instrument was tuned because it was cheap and couldn’t take the tension. We had to buy a new tailcord, have it installed, and tuned. Total cost after buying the cello was another $150.00 (and that was after the guy gave us a discount because he felt sorry for us). The sound of the cello now is OK but not great but had we known about the additional problems, we probably would have gotten a better cello.

It arrived as advertised, and was well packed for shipping. The bridge may eventually be a problem. As I was trying to tighten the strings, the low string kept slipping out of the groove. I eventually pulled out my pocket knife and deepened the groove. I may have to get a new bridge at some point. The tuning pegs slip very badly, even after applying peg drops. I may have to pull the strings off and pretty much start over with stringing. I have yet to draw a single note from it. Please keep in mind that I am an absolute beginner. As such, this is a little frustrating, but the price was where I could afford.
Edit: It is now past the time when I would have been able to return this thing. It can’t be tuned. The tuning pegs slip, and I’ve treated them all with peg drops multiple times. The bridge is most definitely a problem. It is not a nice, even curve with notches for the strings. It slopes towards the “C” string, and I had to take a knife to the notch to deepen it enough for the string to stay in place. As it’s gotten closer to tune-able, it’s gotten worse, Yesterday, while once again working with it, the bridge collapsed on me twice. I don’t want an expensive and large item just for decoration in my home. I’m thinking if I wanted to keep it, at this point I would need to take it to a lutier, which will cost more money. I considered giving it to a local middle school, but that would be kind of cruel to start a youngster on an instrument with issues.
