Was wäre die Klangwelt ohne Moog Synthesizer?

I have always been inlove with Moog.

I have always been interested in Moog, but never owned one. So, when I noticed the low cost of this model, I simply HAD to have it. What fun!
After a day or two of experimentation, I noticed that there were so many sounds on TV and in commercials and in movies that were likely made by Moog. That was pretty amazing, and I learned quite a bit about this type of synthesizer.
Warning: I grew up loving to play Bach Two Part Inventions. Do not try on this machine, as it is basically monophonic (plays one note at a time), although there are features which attempt to deal with this. At the same time, I also LOVE to play rock (and other) bass lines, and boy does Subsequent shine here! What Fun!
So, if you are a keyboard dude and want to play bass in a band, you need one of these. If you play keyboards in a band and want to add some crazy new sounds, you need one of these. If you want crazy sounds for a scary movie, order now. If you want to play a Bach Prelude Sunday Morning as part of the service, well, not so much for you unless you want to rock the congregation before you fire up the big organ.

This is the 5th MOOG I’ve had in the last 35 years. I was ready to give up on Moog over the Lil’ Phatty which broke and was replaced 4x in the 30 days I owned it. However, I came to need something that behaved and sounded like a Moog, so I gave them another try. The quality of material as usual is excellent. It’s built like a tank and the sound is absolutely amazing! Kudos to whoever wrote the software editor for this piece because it is easy to use and works perfectly! Only 2 cons to this… 1 – it’s expensive.. you can likely get something very similar for alot less, but it won’t be this.. 2 – the case for this because Moog decided to shape this “odd” unlike every other synth in the world has to be a Moog Case specifically for this… and.. it’s 300.00…. Keep that in mind if you plan to take this on the road.

Always wanted a Moog since I was a kid. The Subsequent 37 delivers
Know I hear Moog is “remaking” the original analog synth….much too pricey for my budget…and they only expect to make around 120 of them.
Maybe someday…

Goes very well with my multi-generation Moog orchestra, Prodigy, Voyager… Subsequent 37.. The Subsequent 37 sound is incredible, and it has it’s own. It can be very bright and punch through, or deep and warm, or distorted, and yet it always seems to blend well in the mix.

This is a great mono/duo synth. Fat and rich and eminently customisable. I still haven’t quite gotten what I’m looking for out of it, but that’s part of the deal with these kinds of boards. Most of the onboard sounds are unimpressive or stylistically unusable, but the potential to create great things is there waiting to be unlocked..

I hate to give this a low score. The subsequent is amazing and I highly recommend it to others. But the way it was shipped was unacceptable and I may do a return/exchange. It arrived in a box that was smashed and torn open. The subsequent had styrofoam on the ends but was loose in the box. The box was bigger than the subsequent and styrofoam. The styrofoam was cracked and falling apart due to bouncing around in the box, taking impact. Some of the buttons on the sequencer were popping out and I had to push them back in when I first opened it. Functionally, the subsequent seems to work, though I did experience a strange glitchy sounding issue which was resolved after restarting. Cosmetically, there was a small dent/crack in the wood on the back of the subsequent. For a $1500 synth you would think they would package it tight in a box.
This was shipped from Amazon warehouse. If I experience any other strange behavior I am going to do a return because it was more than likely damaged during shipping.
If anything it is a testament to how well made Moog gear is. I am sure this synth took a beating during shipping and it (so far) still works.
