I love cooking and it felt like I had endless amounts of dishes to do after getting into a groove. I live in an apartment without a traditional dishwasher and there would be times that I would let dishes sit in my sink for days, sometimes over a week (I know, it was bad, I was super depressed and my only joy was cooking) I invested in this dishwasher being skeptical that it would last longer than a few months but I can confidently say after 2 years of running it almost every other day, this machine changed my life. It is worth every penny. Even if you aren’t much of a cook, this thing is amazing and can take the daunting task of doing dishes off your plate (no pun intended). As others have said, the manual they provide is pretty useless so let me tell you what you need to know:
Does the overhead sprayer arm get stuck? yeah. but its as simple of a fix as pulling it out of the socket, cleaning it up if there is gunk and snapping it back into place. Sometimes a simple wiggle on the sprayer gets it back to working order.
Is the water intake hose difficult to install? also yes, to the point that I gave up. But the manually fillable tank helps me visualize how much LESS water I am using on these dishes than I would have washing them by hand. Plus I use the time I’m waiting on the pitcher to fill to clean the rest of my work stations up. To fill the tank it only takes 2.5 of the pitcher they provide to fill. Start the cycle you want, it will beep at you that the tank is empty, fill it until the machine beeps at you that its full and it will automatically start.
The cycles are all pretty much the same in my opinion so I usually choose the fastest cycle. Unless I forgot to start it before going to bed, then I pick a longer cycle to make sure that they get all the funk off them lol Any type of dishwashing machine pods or liquid or powder soap work great.
I have a friend who bought the one that doesn’t have a glass window and she forgets if she runs it or leaves the dishes in there too long. I love the window feature because it gives me a visual reminder to run it or unload it.
It fits perfectly on a countertop with overhead cabinets and is much lighter than you would expect, so rearranging your kitchen set up is easy.
I am even able to fit small pots, pans and cutting boards in the machine. If I do that then I usually take the utensil holder off the top track to free up more headspace. It does not fit larger dinner plates, but I use pasta bowls, small plates and small bowls so it doesn’t bother me. You can really pack this thing and I rarely have food residue. If there is food residue, its because it was super crusty when I put it in or burnt on a bottom of a pan. You can either just rise it quick under the faucet, or run it again and it will come out good as new.
If I start noticing a smell, I’ll run the longest cycle with a mixture of white vinegar and water in the tank (like 2.25 pitchers of water and .25 pitcher of white vinegar) and run it with a dishwashing pod. Then its back to normal. This has only happened 3 times total in the last 2 years, so I don’t think a smell is something to be alarmed about. Wet food is just gross like that sometimes and I just wanted to give as much information as possible.
If you made it this far, you are just trying to convince yourself that this is something worth buying and I’m calling you out. IT’S WORTH IT JUST BUY IT YOU’LL FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT DOING DISHES!!

This dishwasher has made my life so much easier. I just wish it was a little bit bigger but it does get all my dishes so clean and smelling fresh.

We purchased the Kapas portable dishwasher for about one month now. It is super convenient. Washing the dishes completely even in the quick mode, gives you relief even if you have a ton of dirty dishes. The water indicator sound is clear and when ever you don’t have enough water, the cycle doesn’t even starts. There are two spinning hands at the top and bottom that sometimes start spinning which is when some particles are stuck on them. As you clean that up, you see them perfectly spinning again.
I think it is a perfect choice for those with small space in their kitchen to fit this in and enjoy!

I’ve had this dishwasher for about a month now, and the reviews I read prior to buying my own are spot on. The machine is just a hair too tall to fit beneath your standard cabinets and the suction cup on the drain hose does lose its suction super quickly. BUT those things are so minimal in my mind compared to how absolutely wonderful it has been to have this machine. I would say on average, the bottom tray fits 4 bowls/Tupperware (think cheap $.50 bowls from that big box retailer 😉 per load, which for my family of 2 is perfect. I will say that most pots/pans don’t really fit inside this machine, mostly because the handles are too long unless put in diagonally. But if you have those pots where the handle is removable, then I’m sure you’d have no problem.
Personally, I fill the tank rather than hooking it directly into my sink line, and it’s super easy. Just fill the provided jug 3 times and it’ll make a little ding ding noise to let you know it’s ready. As far as the drainage, it’s not some crazy water pressure coming out of the hose, so the suction cup isn’t super necessary. I just put a small cleaning brush over the hose and it keeps it in place in my sink (really, I think a dish towel or anything gentle around the kitchen would keep it in place easily).
As far as sound, it’s rather quiet. Unless you have noisy metal plates, you really only hear the water jets, and even that is so quiet it barely registers from a few feet away.
As long as the electronics hold out, I’m expecting this dishwasher to last a very long time! It’s already saved my poor arthritic wrists so much these past few weeks!

I had to give this workhorse dishwasher 5-stars because of how well it works and cleans but the instruction manual is not as good as it could be and I do have to clean out the water sprayers every week or so.
I was looking for a countertop dishwasher to use and I have a fancier faucet that would not allow a cord to be attached, so I needed one with a fill-up tank. I spent about two weeks looking at the reviews of almost every countertop dishwasher that you could buy and almost every model seemed to have about 10% of the customers getting a poorly functioning or a non-functioning dishwasher (with E4 computer chip errors, etc.) from the start. This Kapas Countertop Dishwasher was the only one with very low negative ratings, so I decided to get it and it has been a great little machine.
When installing the drain hose, I followed the owner’s manual but it was mainly based on illustrations and simple instructions. I could have used more instructions because after 2 weeks of use, I received a ‘b’ error code and that was not in the instruction manual. When that appeared, I could see that the sprayers weren’t working, so I popped them off (like the images in the instruction manual indicated) and cleaned the spray holes with a pipe-cleaner tool. When I put them back on again, they worked right away and the ‘b’ code disappeared. Then a few weeks later, the ‘b’ code appeared again. I did the same cleaning process on the sprayers and they worked right away, so I have to assume that the ‘b’ code means ‘blocked’, even though it wasn’t listed in the owner’s manual.
Now I just pop off the sprayers every 7-10 days and use a pipe cleaner tool around the spray holes and I have not had the ‘b’ code since and I have had this unit almost 5 months now. The upper sprayer can be harder to thread on and it sometimes takes a few tries.
I followed the advice from other reviewers and I always fill the tank with hot water (then the machine heats that hot water even further) and it has cleaned the dishes beautifully. I also like having a removable silverware tray because that allows me to wash my mixing bowl from my Kitchen-aide mixer or my large Crock-pot ceramic insert or my large multi-cooker/ electric pressure cooker bowl inside. That was a pleasant surprise because I wasn’t sure they would fit inside when I bought the machine. I can also wash my tall glass water bottles if I put them in and tilt them on a slight angle (which allows the dish-washing spray to reach the tops of the bottles.
When the dishwasher is heating the water at the start of the load it makes more noise, but I wouldn’t call it “loud.” Once the hot water is flowing, it quiets down and is very quiet through the rest if the cycle. I usually run it at night because it is so quiet. It beeps one time when the washing and rinsing cycles are done so you know it is moving into drying mode and it beeps again when it is finished. The dryer works well on silverware and dishware but I usually have to dry the plastic dishes with a dishtowel before I put them away (a minor inconvenience when compared with the convenience of not having to wash dishes by hand.) I have tried most of the cycles and they all work as described but I prefer Standard most of the time. It takes about an hour and a half to wash and dry the dishes using that setting.
This dishwasher has been energy efficient as I do 1-2 loads a day. Our electric bill only increased about $4 per month for all of those loads, so it has been cost-efficient. Because it uses less water and is so good on electricity, it is more earth-friendly than handwashing dishes. I also use a biodegradable soap and have found Better Life Dishwasher Gel to be cost-effective and I like that it isn’t harmful to the environment.
As I said at the start, this dishwasher isn’t perfect but it is very good. On Thanksgiving, I ran 6 loads, one right after the other, and it cleaned the last batch as well as it did the first. I have been pleased that it has turned out to be such a great dishwasher, a true workhorse, and I would recommend it to anyone (as long as you are prepared to clean the sprayers every couple of weeks.)
