The box this watch was shipped in, opened while being shipped, leaving the watch to rattle around freely in the bag. It showed up with loose screws inside and the watch obviously did not work. I returned it and received a second watch with the same problem. The watch looks great but I would like to have seen the watch actually working. Shipping a watch to arrive functioning should not be this hard. I have like fossil and relic in the past but I will be avoiding these watches from now on.

The looks are amazing and the movement is beautiful to see. The exposed front and back allow for full view of the mechanical nature of the movement. The band is just slightly to big for me but it still looks and feels great.

This watch is beautiful, great faceplate size, and great quality. It is my Sunday or special event piece. I want familiar with the skeleton, but it is amazing. I had no idea what and how all they pieces work together.

B-E-A-YOU-TEA-FULL!!! I’ve been wearing this watch on and off for about a month now but I’m starting to prefer wearing it over my Orient and Citizen! It’s satisfying to wear mostly because it’s such an eyecatcher but also because the weight is so perfectly balanced. It’s gotten me a bunch of compliments so far, from coworkers, my brother, my mom, and even my waitress complimented it last week! I highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for an affordable automatic!!!

Definitely one of Relic’s (Fossil) better watches. It’s solid, the auto wind works well enough to keep it going with minimal movement. The manual wind is easy to use, thanks to the fact that you can see the spring. It keeps time about as well as any main brand watch under $1k, loses a few seconds a day. It’s actually pretty comfortable considering it’s a metal link strap, it’s well rounded and doesn’t pull hairs as much as many others. It is very heavy though, maybe too much for some people. Personally, it’s interesting getting so much metal from a cheaper watch. Reserve power last about 3 days (60-72 hours), which is in line with mechanical watches around this price and a little higher. Very cool to be able to see the watch move from the face. The front crystal is curved and slightly magnified, very nice to see for around $100. If Fossil wasn’t known for being an Instagram watch company this might be better received, easy to overlook.

My oldest son saw this and wanted it. He was going to buy it for himself but I beat him to it. I have some automatics and I love the way they wind themselves so long as you wear it consistently. If not, you can always buy a watch winder that rotates the watch while you’re not wearing it. It looks very nice, having a contrasting appearance with the black stainless case with the shiny metallic workings exposed through both the front and back mineral crystals. Its 42mm case size is not overly large like some of my diver watches but has a nice presence on the wearers wrist. Time will tell about its longevity, but Fossil has created a name for itself in the watch market and Relic being a brand of Fossil, nothing but quality should be expected.

Great value for what you get internally, but the quality seems cheap. The band almost feels like it is made of hollow aluminum sheets. The paint or coating is also quite weak and is easy to scratch. The main watch part feels solid, but the pendulum on the back responsible for the self winding mechanism fell off and is rattling inside of the watch. It is still functional, but now I don’t feel like wearing it as it sounds like a maraca when wearing it.
