Beautiful watch, well-made, fantastic price. For half the money you can buy a Timex, and get 1/10th the watch. Go Seiko. My last Seiko lasted 30 years. It still keeps good time, but the face began rotating on its own.

An elegant look overall, thin case, lumed hands a d pips and sapphire crystal make this watch a great buy. The only changes would be a 38mm case instead of 40mm.

Don’t like the wrist bamd

Pense que era más oscuro la correa pero me encanto

Excellent watch for the money. Hollow end link bracelet though, but it looks great on a strap.

This is a great watch for a non-watch person. It’s a extremely simple yet effective design, very utilitarian yet classy and sharp looking.
My feedback is overall positive, however being that this is the Seiko Essentials line, I do feel some corners were cut to meet the price point. For instance, while the bracelet is extremely easy to size and Seiko is even awesome enough to provide the tool, the bracelet itself is pretty cheap and squeaky. But that’s okay, it’s effective and gets the job done.
The second hand doesn’t align up with the markers. It’s not the worst I’ve seen, and I know this happens to many different quartz brands, but it would have been nice.
The crown is a little sloppy and not very smooth. It clicks multiple times and sometimes you click it too little or too late to change the date and end up stopping the second hand, messing up your time.
The best part is this watch by far to me, is the sapphire crystal. A sapphire crystal in a watch under $200 is pretty tough to find, and I feel like this is where most of the money is in this watch. At this price alone, I can forgive the minor short comings for the sapphire crystal, it along with the design of the watch is what made me purchase it.
I work in IT in the office at times, and I wanted something that was thin and stylish, while at the same time can withstand a few bumps. I wouldn’t exactly say my job is a physical job, but there are times I’m switching out equipment in a conference room or hooking up peripherals underneath a desk, or configuring a computer. I take comfort in knowing that inevitable smacks against objects is going to not result in any scratches on the face, and I love how thin it is. I don’t really want to wear a G Shock or a Tool watch. Even though this is considered a “dress” watch, I feel like it’s completely appropriate for everyday wear. It’s very understated and super comfortable.
So, I’m only removing 1 star for the few shortcomings and corners Seiko had to cut to fit the sapphire crystal in the time piece, but I’m overall very happy with my purchase and absolutely recommend it.

Have had other Seiko watches and have been happy with all of them. They provide good service. Had to have the band adjusted, couldn’t do it myself.

I just received the watch today. As many people mention online, this watch resembles SARB and Grand Seiko in some way. They call it “Poor man’s Grand Seiko” XD. The face is simple yet elegant. I just wished it had a bit more of detail in the face, because it does feel slighly too simple. Sapphire crystal glass at this price is a great value. I really like the pointy hands of this watch since I can’t afford SARB. As for the accuracy I’m not too concerned since it’s Quartz. Now the bracelets, as expected at this price they are hollow, but they are not as bad as I have expected. Honestly they are fine. The thickness is perfect. Not too thin nor too thick. If the size of the face was 38mm this watch would have been perfect, but I am still giving it a 5 star for the overall value. Considering the price, this watch offers an amazing value: nice simply elegant look, sapphire crystal glass, slick hands, water resistance and great quartz movement. FYI, when you take out the link to adjust the watch band, you will see a tiny spring inserted in the link. Each link has a spring and without it the pin won’t stay put so be careful when removing links.

The box is slightly damaged, the second hand does not hit the marks. Scratches and abrasions appeared within 1 day of use. Very fast delivery – 5 days to Russian Federation. I am satisfied with the purchase, for the money it is a great deal

I have many automatic watches and given my constant rotation, and the fact that there are times I’m around magnets, I realized it might be good to have a go-to black dialed quartz beater. I did a little research and this beauty came up. Great specs with all stainless steel construction, sapphire crystal, lumibrite, 100m wr, and Seiko branding, all for less than $150. And this watch borrows so many design cues on its dial, hands, case and bracelet, it seems like it’s a knock off of the Grand Seiko SBGP005, which is no bad thing. It’s refreshing to have a cheap watch not trying to be a Rolex, but rather a Seiko trying to be like it’s big brother. It’s also very clean with only Seiko on the dial. Yes the second hand doesn’t hit all the marks but then again neither did my Omega aqua terra quartz (a $30 casio does, so go figure) and it obviously doesn’t affect the function. At least it hits the 5″ markers including the 12. There are also starburst blue and silver versions (sur309, sur307) as well as a 36mm option (sur317 blue, 319 black), though the 36mm has an 18mm bracelet. Bear in mind this 40mm watch wears slightly large because the dial is proportionately large with a slimmer bezel, though it is slim and has a reasonable lug to lug with inverted end links. The end links are hollow but fit really well and the links are hollow but fully pivot and are well finished so the bracelet is pretty good in my opinion for the price (definitely better than the Seiko 5 bracelets). Love it!
