Last year for Christmas I got this set for my nephew (5) and my niece (3). They absolutely love the T Rex. Whenever I go over to their house my nephew Gatlin always asks to play with the T Rex so we battle it out while he imitates the roaring noise.
Super easy to use, I recommend playing on a hard / flat surface so it’s easy to move the T Rex. Zero issues, noise still works and motors still work after a year.

bought for a gift for my grand daughter, put batteries in and it did not work. lights came on, but could only go forward. returned and received replacement in 2 days (nice) and the replacement was also defective and returned. she lives dinosaurs and was really excited for this, but i am not going to keep ordering them when 2 for 2 defective and dont work

we pre-built all the brithday surprises as to not have little man waiting for assembly or batteries. the assembly was easy and straight forward, no instructions needed. at the party, right out of the box trex was lighting up and roaring. little mans eyes lit up and his face was all smiles. the movement, sounds and lights captured his attention almost to the point of not being able to open the rest of his gifts… lol. days later, this is still one of his favs to play with.

Ordered one for our 3 year-old grandson in May and it was a HUGE hit. The battle part is cool, but I think he likes the dancing option the best. Who wouldn’t love a dancing, musical dinosaur? Easy to use and navigate with the big buttons on the RC – takes a lot of batteries, but they last a long time through daily use.
He liked it so much and his 5 year-old brother and 5 year-old cousin both wanted to play. I ended up buying 2 more for the older boys on their birthdays in June and July. This is definitely a great gift for boys in this age range!!!

The nephew loved his dinosaurs. I purchased the brown and the green T-Rex. Each dinosaur requires 3 AA batteries, which are installed in the separate tail section. ( Be sure to tell the kids to pick up the dinosaur by the body and not the tail, as the tail will become loose and lose connection.) The remote requires 2 AA batteries and is very kid friendly. It was very easy for them to use. A small Philips screw driver is included so you can easily open the tail & remote for battery installation. The dinosaurs light up, roar, walk, dance & have a mode where the arms move as well. This was a good purchase.

I ordered two of these for my kids, the dinosaurs don’t like rechargeable batteries ( they will only work with regular batteries, rechargeable battery voltage is too low) and 1 remote didn’t work right out of the box. If you hold the remote up to your camera on your phone and push a button on the remote you should see a quick infrared flash of light from it. If you don’t it doesn’t work. I am currently waiting to hear back from the company as I have requested a replacement remote, I will update my review with the outcome.
Update 4/11/23
After contacting the seller and not receiving a reply I decided to open the remote and fix it myself. Upon opening the remote I found both solder connections for the IR LED coming off the board as shown in the picture. After a bit of a struggle with it I was able to solder them both back on the board and it works now but I can confirm that these are of very poor quality and customer service is even poorer (nonexistent). Once they get your money you probably won’t hear from them again so if you buy them you’ve been warned. Amazon should not be selling these toys, I would have been more understanding if I had at least received an automated reply but got nothing, I wont buy another thing from this seller ever again.
