The Chronograph Watch arrived well-packaged, and I was immediately impressed with the leather-like feel of the band. One neat feature is that it lights up with a simple press of a button, adding a touch of elegance to its design. However, my son has been using this watch, and he’s had some issues. He mentioned that it has stopped working for a while and then spontaneously comes back to life. I’ve checked the knob on the side, and it appears to be in its correct position, so I’m unsure if this is due to user error or something else.

This is not a low light watch for people with compromised vision, but! It is still very functional. I’ve used the timing function multiple times, up to a 24 minute timing of an event, with full confidence, as I had a secondary timing device to verify. The 20th of a second pretty much matched up with the digital. Go figure, different fingers pushing the buttons, but still respectable!
The lume is short lived, so don’t plan to look for the hands a couple minutes after exposing it to light. It does work for a short time, so if you flash it with your LED flashlight, you’ll see the hands for a bit.
I bought the one with a black dial, so the Indiglo is “Muted” It has a Texture to the back-lite. You can find the hands with a bit of concentration. Don’t plan to see the Chronograph second hand in the dark. It’s not easy to find. Keep your flashlight handy. Not a big deal. TImng in the dark happens, but I don’t have to do it that often. Depends on the Drill. (FF/EMR) I still give it a five, as it is a black dial! I’d be willing to bet a White dial would be brilliant!
When you reset the chronograph, it’s got a satisfying sweep to your zero point. I’ll likely wear out the battery playing with it!
There are instructions online to work with the hands of the timing function hands. Once you set them to their zero locations, your ready for the next go. Mine came with the minutes hand passed the 30 minute mark. A simple Crown set, and button push sequence put it back at the right start point. It’s not defective, we just need to find the instructions at the main TImex site. Simple search, and your there!
Four days, still spot on the time, AND it is HACKING! Set it right on, and it’s holding. Well, it’s quartz, so go figure. It’s likely more accurate than my ISP. It’s keeping with the internet time that I used to set my watch. So far, the only deviation might be me looking from the screen to set the seconds on the watch. I was a second late when I set it, and it’s still right on.
The water resistance is capable of swimming according to the back, but I don’t plan to jump in the water with a leather wrist strap anyway. Washed my hands plenty while wearing it, so if that helps, it’s likely to survive an unexpected dunking. I’ll report back if I happen to fall off a boat.
This Watch looks like a serious timing piece with that field watch vibe, and it’s super comfortable. I’m a big boy, and it looks right at home on Farm-boy. Not much tail to tuck under the second band loop. This might be a bit much on a smaller wrist. If you can’t lift an iron small block and throw it in the bed of the pickup, it might be a bit large on your wrist. Fits me fine, but your results may vary.
Way to go Timex Philippines! (One of my favorite places!)

This watch is surprisingly comfortable considering it’s fairly high profile. Keeps perfect time and looks great. Low price point means you won’t lose any sleep when you bang it around.

I’ve always liked Timex watches, my first ever watch was a Timex bought for my 10th birthday by my grandparents and I still have it and works perfectly.
This watch is no exception. Quality build and reliability, it looks great on the wrist and water resistance seems fine, the functions seem to work perfectly although I haven’t had chance to use them all properly yet. The indiglo function is very useful and bright enough to read the dial clearly in dim or dark situations.
Very pleased with my purchase.

Wear this watch pretty regularly, love the look, has a rugged outdoorsy look to it but sophisticated enough to wear to work. My only complaint is that the glass cracked at some point in the past week, I’m not sure when it would have happened as I don’t recall hitting it on anything. I’m a little disappointed that a small knock could have done so much damage considering how sturdy this thing seems to be. Repairing it would cost $40-50 so I might as well just buy a new one to replace it

Good military homage watch. Leather strap is really comfortable. Watch is hackable and is accurate and reliable. The indigo light needs improvement! Needs a Sapphire crystal and a screw down crown. Battery lasted about three years and the caseback is very difficult to put back on unless you use a special tool to squeeze it back on. Not easy to tell the time. Needs better lumens. Changing the time is fantastic!

This watch checks off so many boxes.
The leather strap has enough weight to make you feel classy. The watch face is beautiful and eye catching. The chronograph feature is great and easy to use.
The perfect watch at an amazing price point

Just love this watch. It’s a little larger dial than the “typical” 38mm,which is what I was looking for. Works perfectly. Keeps decently accurate time, solid built metal case and glass crystal. Leather strap not too stiff so break in is not really a concern. I like Timex best for reliability, features and price. Plus it’s easy to change readily available batteries (which last about 1-2 years). Getting lots of compliments on it. One small oddity, what should be the second hand is actually a tachometer/chronograph function. The second hand is actually a smaller dial near the 6 o’clock position. Seems odd especially if you’ve never owned a hand sweep chronograph watch. Not a big deal just need to retrain your brain for the second hand. Timex has been my go to watch for years now and I’ve never had an issue with them except the occasional band or battery replacement. I wear them to work and am NOT easy on them at all. They just work. In my opinion, they are a great value. Moderate watches typically cost well over $100, Timex’s core watches are about 1/2 that price usually. Although the company has ventured into the upscale watch arena a few years ago and are also value packed and very good looking, some costing as much as $1000! For my daily driver kind of budget, I’ll stick with their core line basic watches thanks

I get more compliments on this thing and I truly do love it! It’s a great time piece! I spend a lot of time outdoors and camping and love being away from my Apple Watch. This allows me the freedom of not having to be so connected in today’s digital world and yet I still have the time at my wrist in a beautiful way! This is a very manly watch with a great leather strap and it keeps time perfectly! Sometimes less is more! And that’s the case with this Timex Expedition. Love the Indiglo! It works great! Classic time piece! What are you waiting for, get it!
